Overview
The Great Ocean Road is a long day from Melbourne: around four and a half hours or more of driving each way to the Twelve Apostles along the coast. You pass Lorne and Apollo Bay, then reach the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge near Port Campbell. Stops are short, so the day is mostly the road and the coast.
Best for: Scenery lovers and photographers who are happy with a long day
