Know before you go

What it is

The Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) is a First Nations art fair in Cairns, with an art fair showcase, fashion, performance and an opening night. In 2026, its 17th year, it was held at the Tanks Arts Centre in Edge Hill and The Mill in Stratford.

  1. Arriving by car

At the Tanks Arts Centre (46 Collins Avenue, Edge Hill), CIAF's venue page named a drop-off and pick-up zone on Collins Avenue in front of the main entrance. CIAF had not confirmed its 2027 venues when we checked.

  2. Getting home

In 2026, CIAF ran a free shuttle bus between its venues and the Cairns city centre. CIAF's venue page advised using Centenary Lakes parking in daytime only, as the paths have limited lighting.

Good to knowIn 2026 the art fair showcase was free, open 10am–5pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am–3pm on Sunday; the opening night was ticketed.
